Still trying to define "real" life...

So, when last I wrote (which was much too long ago), I left in search of my "real" life back in the United States. Well, I can tell you that I still haven't found it, and my search has left me questioning what the "real world" really is.

After the initial months of reverse cultural shock and the depression of having to find a job during one of the worst economic crisis in memory, I relocated to Washington, DC.

DC is my playground. Here I feel like anything is possible and that opportunities are abound.

I've been looking for work in all sectors of politics, but until I find "The" job, I've been keeping myself busy bartending at a hot little spot north of DC called Blackfinn.

Working at Blackfinn isn't rocket science, but for now I'm content to wait out this awful search until the right opportunity comes along. The staff here is great, and although things here get crazy in all aspects of the word, it's what I'm calling home for now.
